This is a quick introduction to the ‘Trinity of Self’ framework.
Firstly, there’s Pickles, our primal self, the one that can get caught up in the moment and yell or swear at others, possibly even lash out.
Then we have Squirrel, our default self, this is who we are most of the time scurrying around and across the highway of life in the hopes that we don’t get run over while chasing our short term objectives.
And finally we have Bonkers, our aspirational self, this is who drives us to learn new skills, change career or country, learn languages and work towards other goals like saving for a mortgage, car, holiday or other things.
We’re all greater than the sum of our parts and understanding who we are when certain events happen, can help us with being a better prepared for the future and resolve issues from the past.

This framework allows you to have conversations with yourself and others about behaviours and issues that might be getting in the way of your goals or someone you know. It can be used in combination with EPS, journaling, self reflection or by it’s self.
